Dear ISI’ers,
I saved this back in March from a posting by Jay Guin to put in the blog sometime. I was impressed all over again reading it just now, refreshing my memory as to why I had saved it in my “need to post someday” folder. Have you ever spoken with someone like the [...]
There’s not a lot for me to add to the plagiarized (well, it’s not plagiarized if I give credit to whom credit is due, right?) posting from Jay Guin except “Amen!”
I especially appreciate his definition of legalism; I think it pretty much hammers that nail down.
In Christ,

Falling from Grace: Why [...]
Sorry, don’t have much time to expound on this right now, but listen to this sermon (really more of a “talk”) when you get time!
Why? Because this “What is…?” talk is from someone with a lot of credibility with the “The Church of Christ IS The Kingdom, inclusively and exclusively” group… and he basically [...]

When was the last time you were verbally assaulted, told your opinions were worthless, or, to use the modern lingo, completely “dissed”?
My next to the last time was in the context of a Bible study. I had been asked to help a few folks understand how I had managed to come to a non-traditional [...]
Isn’t it amazing that two people can mean two different things when they use the same word?
The title of a recent article in CHRISTIANITY: then & now caught my eye. The title [...]
I’ve heard it said (somewhere — I don’t remember where) that the longest/oldest/continuous publication of the Restoration Movement is the CHRISTIAN STANDARD. I subscribed to it about a year ago. It’s a little different. It has a long history. And it has some good articles. In fact, I read one yesterday called: Holding One’s Tongue [...]
There is a fascinating (well, one man’s “fascinating” is another’s “bor-ingggg!”, but I think it’s fascinating) conversation going on over at http://graceconversation.com concerning (as you might expect) GRACE and how grace plays out (not the best choice of words I suppose) in our lives when we are mistaken about some doctrinal point or the other.
