What a treat we had May 1, 2010! Seven of our eight elders, and half (that’s 2, by the way) of our ministers attended the ElderLink program in a neighboring town. ACU has hosted these events around the country for some years now, but this was my first chance to attend one. Wow! It [...] Now, you should know, if you know me at all, that my radio does not play country music. But… I was getting a snack at [where else?] a Snack Shop a while back, and the phrase “washed in the blood” caught my ear. I looked up the lyrics later. For a name, that is. “Nontraditional” — Might be a little scary? “Nondenominational” — Sounds good. That’s what we are, right? (We can talk about that word some other time. It carries a lot of baggage.
