The two-part article below is a keeper! (That means I agree with 97%+ of it. Of course, you may have a different definition of “keeper”!) It happened, so it was obviously God’s will; accept it and get on with your life!”? Have DOGMA, that is? What is dogma, anyway? Is it bad or good? Well, I suspect that the answer is: It depends. What is dogma? Merriam-Webster thinks it is: 1 a: something held as an established opinion ; especially : a definite authoritative tenet b: a code of such tenets <pedagogical [...] When was the last time you were verbally assaulted, told your opinions were worthless, or, to use the modern lingo, completely “dissed”? My next to the last time was in the context of a Bible study. I had been asked to help a few folks understand how I had managed to come to a non-traditional [...] Well, apparently the article about Change Agent Jesus at Christianity: Then and Now pushed more people’s buttons than just mine. Below is Al Maxey’s response. I thought it was excellent. (Clearly he spent a LOT more time on this than I did!)
Isn’t it amazing that two people can mean two different things when they use the same word?
