We humans have a natural tendency to overreact to emotionally traumatic events. We tend toward avoidance behaviors, that is, if one dog bites us, we stay 100 feet away from the next dog we see. For a name, that is. “Nontraditional” — Might be a little scary? “Nondenominational” — Sounds good. That’s what we are, right? (We can talk about that word some other time. I subscribed to it about a year ago. It’s a little different. It has a long history. And it has some good articles.
